Thank you for following along, it means a lot to us. I'm going to keep this blog brief, for we are mourning the loss of our beloved Magnolia, also known as Maggie, Mag Pie, Maggie Moo, Mags and goofy. She passed away swiftly and peacefully yesterday morning in our RV. The local vet says it was an aneurysm and fortunately she did not suffer. We are grateful that we were with her, in our RV altogether.
Ok, onto our time in Hershey. We toured the chocolate factory and made our own chocolate bars. That was really fun. There's a bunch of really interesting history about Milton Hershey and I'm going to leave that for you to dig into. Trust me, he was a brilliant and generous man, google him if you wanna know more!
We also toured the AACA car museum. It had lots of vintage cars, motorcycles, busses and a model train set up that filled one room. We enjoyed seeing the wide range of transportation. They even had the bus from Forrest Gump with Jenny giving a
peace sign out the back window. I went to high school with her, so that was fun to see.
Doug is kind enough to hit up AA meetings with me. We find open ones where loved ones are welcome. It was an upbeat one with so many welcoming people. One lady had a clever shirt that said, 'you say I'm a witch, like that's a bad thing'. Nothing to do with AA and their principals, just a cute shirt on its own.
Lastly, and this is our most precious memory that will last a lifetime, is that we went to Ellen and Michael's farm. Maggie had the time of her life, running free on 80+ acres with 3 other dogs. She also chased after a few horse drawn Amish buggies. She literally was smiling from ear to ear and her nose never stopped taking in all the smells. The wind would blow and she would just stand there like a super model in a fashion shoot.
I'm going to close with a photo collage of Maggie. I don't have the band width to include photos of the other places, but will get back on track by next week, when we share about Salem, Virginia - where we are currently staying.
All of our love to all of you. Please soak up those memories with your loved ones, both human and furry. Today is a gift and that's why they call it the present.

My dear friends, I am so so so sorry for you! This seems to be a time when the universe calls back, in order to make more love dust for the future...My brother lost his cat of 18 years last week, a dear musician friend also lost hers, and it's a small comfort to know that Siggy's up there, working as an Official Greeter (according to Carol!) But that doesn't make the grief pain any less, and so my heart goes out to you both! XXX Safe safe travels!!!!
